Workshop, Refund & Cancellation Info

Approximately 3-6 months before a class I will send out an "open enrollment" newsletter/e-mail when classes are open for enrollment at which time I will take deposits.

Deposits can be made through my SquareUp Market store with a credit or debit card, Paypal or you can mail a check or
money order.  Or you can come in person and pay with any of the above or even cash.  Deposits made with CC/debit/Paypal will incur a $10 processing fee for every $200... Payment plans will incur a $5 fee for each payment made using CC, debit card or Paypal.  Fees paid will not be refunded regardless of the reason for class cancellation, if the need arises for cancellation.

Classes are first come with deposit, first served.  Please do not send me an e-mail asking me to put your name on "the list"... if you want to mail a check for your deposit please call and let me know.  Click here for more info about sending a deposit check.

If you are interested in a class that has not opened up for registration please be sure to sign up for the newsletter by going to the home page and filling out the Vertical Response sign-up form.  Please finish the sign-up process by responding to the auto e-mail to confirm that you wish to be on my list.  If you don't do this you will not get any e-mail newsletters from me.  Check your spam filter if you don't receive the auto e-mail to confirm.

REFUND/CANCELLATION POLICY

Refunds due to student cancellations: If a student must withdraw from a workshop there will be no refund or studio credit unless The Mandrel is able to fill the seat from a wait-list, and only when new student fees are paid in full.  The Mandrel will refund the workshop fee less $50 cancellation fee.  Please let The Mandrel know as soon as you feel a withdraw is pending so that I can make that seat available.  It is not The Mandrel's responsibility to *find* a new student and no effort on our part will be made to specifically locate one for you, with the exception of checking a wait-list if there is one.  Cancellation must be made in writing (e-mail/mail).

If The Mandrel or instructor must cancel or reschedule a workshop for any reason, the workshop may be rescheduled, and the student will be given the choice of rescheduling or full refunding of fees. The studio will not be responsible for costs incurred for non-refundable tickets, transportation/lodging costs, or any other expenses incurred by the student due to studio/instructor cancellation/rescheduling of a workshop.

The Mandrel or it's independent contractors reserve the right to change rates and schedules at any time.

ABOUT THE CLASSES

Most classes held at The Mandrel are for advanced bead makers.  I try to note the minimum level of experience required for each class.  If you are unsure about where you are, please check here http://www.schermobeads.com/classes/skilllevels.htm.  Ann Scherm Baldwin's skill level page is wonderful resource.  It's very difficult to determine a person's level of experience based on length of time.  For example: a persons level who works at the torch 20 hours a week for 1 year is quite different than the person who works only 1 hour a week for a year (there are exceptions to this rule).  So, "Schermo" has generously let me link to her website so you can use her skill levels page to determine where you are at.
